Marc was a member of the British Armed Forces from 1980 to 2004 during which time he specialised in the repair, deployment and operation of wide area communication systems. During this time Marc also completed a degree in Telecommunication Systems Engineering with Cranfield University. Marc left the forces in 2004 to pursue a career as a security consultant with Symantec. This mainly involved working for UK Government customers utilising secure IT systems. Marc expanded his security consultancy knowledge and experience to include auditing for clients that required compliance with ISO 27001 and the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Marc then worked as a technical pre-sales consultant before Joining Nok Nok Labs in 2016. At Nok Nok, Marc has spent his time working with enterprise class relying parties such as MNOs and Financial Institutions seeking to introduce FIDO based biometric authentication to their customers. Marc represents Nok Nok on the FIDO Alliance European Working Group whose aim is to promote the use of FIDO authentication for compliance purposes such as that required by PSD2.
