Now I wanted to spend a few minutes today to share some ideas and some thoughts I have about what I call best of breed solutions. And it's really about how you can leverage best of breed solutions for protecting valuable enterprise resources and customer data. And if you look at, you know, though, things that ping has focused on is really about supporting global enterprises and that's, you know, working with some of our strategic partners, it also targets, you know, fortune 3000 with ping, really targeting that, you know, upper end where 60% of the fortune or ping customers.
And we do that through really creating extra extraordinary digital identity experiences. And one thing I wanted to talk about though, is technology. And I think many of you are experiencing, this is evolving so quickly and keeping pace really requires deep know and experience you consider enterprises are evolving so quickly and demand for advanced and agile identity solutions is really important because that will enable us to fast track, you know, digital identity transformations, help support your cloud adoption and help really enable and be successful with your zero trust initiatives.
So, one thing I wanna look at is stick back a little bit and look at some of the new requirements of today's workforce. There's been a lot of conversations today about the evolution in the case that's happening. And I think we can all attest. We can all connect to the workers, will connect with digital assets from multiple places during the day. It's not just one device sitting in front of your desk or your computer really having device workers will also work from home and they are expecting the same experience that they have, you know, in the office at home.
And then there will be a set of workers that needs to be on site, but they'll still require very unique access to applications and data that they need. And all workers, regardless of where they're working will need to be able to securely access to resources and data.
They need to do their job. And so it's interesting. Some of the statistics out there is that to get the job done, employees will need to log into several devices during the day, and they'll need to log into everything from desktop laptops, tablets, phones, terminals, and the list goes on and on.
And if you look at this workforce, there was a recent study done by Grayson estimated that, you know, it'll be about 60% of the average organization will actually be working from their own device. So it isn't actually just that they'll be, you know, working from home, but they'll be also accessing from non it control devices.
It's also worth noting that some of the changes that your experiences, that it's not just about, you know, workforce it's about, that's not just about the employees, but it's also, you need to include access to resources that include partners and contractors, and those contractors or partners really need to feel like they're employees.
And they're often then also accessing resources on mobile.
They're accessing from a remote locations, which just really means that they're going to feel just like their employees, where they're gonna access multiple devices from their own device, as well as multiple locations. And last thing to look at is really, you know, you know, that resources and users are not just accessing applications anymore, but they're also getting direct access to APIs. You may have a set of developers and you also, you have direct access to data. And these are really what customers and users are asking for to be able to get their jobs done.
And this really requires you to protect multiple layers within your system. You can't just protect an application when you're done. You have to look at both the application API and data layers. So in a global survey, McKenzie discovered really two key factors of successful organizations that I wanted to share with you.
And that these are organizations that went under underwent successful transformation. That really was suggesting that directly linking making resources available to users, helped the customers to feel success.
And some of the things they focused on was giving digital tools, making them more available. It's almost you consider that consumerization of it, but also then enabling your employees to act like consumers and having self-service tools available to them. So what I want to do is share a few quotes and these are really, you know, highlighting from our customers that have been going through this transition and leveraging, leveraging the best of breed solution, where they found additional productivity, they found additional security and agility for meeting their needs.
So one of our large healthcare customers said working from home has been this seismic change. We're thinking of employees now as 3000 micro offices, and we're accelerating our identity programs as telemedicine is here to stay.
And I think that's true. The change that we made is a positive change. And I think it will stay, you know, from one of our large bank banking customers said never before is digital been more important to our future and identity is at the heart of it.
And I think that has been resonated time and time again in the conference today, a multinational conglomerate that we talked to deployed and enrolled over a hundred thousand users with MFA in less than two weeks. And that was really done by consuming services from the cloud versus looking at on-prem and deploying in a hybrid scenario. And one of our video conferencing platforms saw an, a tenfold increase in traffic and had 2 billion identity related transactions per day, serviced by ping. So you can see that kind of evolution in the infrastructure needed to support those use cases.
So how does it respond quickly enough then to all of this?
And my belief is that, you know, by utilizing best degree solutions, organizations can take advantage of some of the key benefits that I believe only really multi-vendor solutions can offer. And it really comes down to some core principles of best degree solutions and those best, those principles really enable us to build the right foundation for enterprise identity success. But you know what, there's always this debate, the debate of best breed solutions versus one size fits all single vendor stacks.
It was Jack Welch on of GE fame set in his bestselling book titled winning said that good enough is never good enough. And in his book, he was emphasizing the need for continually enhancing and refining our products and services. And that's really just the refinement to meet the everyday, every changing needs of our customers and to do so, does require the knowledge and expertise in this specific category.
And especially when we're talking about protecting our business resources and our critical customer data.
And so I wanted to look at these core principles and you consider these are core principles that determine need for best of resolution. And the first principle is really looking for vendors that have deep strategic relationships with their partners and have developed integration patterns that support both these express and advanced use cases, you know, and if you do so, you can greatly reduce the time to value. And you also are able to quickly respond to the business needs either the very simple ones or the complex ones with this platform.
Second principle is to ensure that you consider your organization's immediate and future needs when identifying, you know, the best breed solution, really looking at the total critical capabilities that you need to be successful. And what that does is it allows you to start simple is if you have future proof proof to yourself, you really are then able to start simple and then confidently grow and expand as your system matures to address more complex business needs.
Third is looking at which vendors that specialize in specific categories you need, you may have needs for remote workforce, and you may have needs for disconnected or offline workforce finding vendors that can support those use piece really critical. And this will become more and more critical when you start to respond to these remote workforce. When you start to respond to some of the customer needs and release things that best fit your organization's demand, unless we need to make sure the vendors you choose support open standards that will rapid and seamless integration. All right.
So you know what? We all know data and access management products or projects are, are not that simple. I'm mean it takes time, budget, project teams, demos, RPS. You need to get executive buy-in, you've got implementation and deployment plans. You've got change management. You've got a whole host of other challenges that you need to go through for years.
The ideas of using these best solutions I think was highly desired, but there were so many challenges got in the way.
Quite often, you had hybrid issues, you had deployment issues, you had update issues that meant a single vendor solution might be a better option. But today, if you look at hybrid deployments where you can deploy wherever you need and consume services from the cloud, you can support multiple cloud deployments. So you really have deployment of choice. You have automated tool link for DevOps, which helps you streamline your pipeline and help with automating that change management process. And then advanced open standards.
Really, there has been a level of maturity where we now get seamless integration, and then you take last minute, at least of rich APIs for ministering and then consuming those services, making it so you can address that a hundred thousand employees, you know, with NFA in two weeks. And it really is the game changer. So looking at best degree solutions, I believe now are preferred as they make your enterprise productive, secure, and agile.
That's a breed solution then offers with strategic partners like SalePoint and beyond trust.
You know, you can quickly see how the solution supports the core principles. I talked about first being identity SalePoint beyond trust your proven leaders in their identity space. And we have partnered together to really develop, deliver a best degree solution. And it's really built to address those simple or express and advanced enterprise use cases. Organizations are also able to easily balance the control and security of their remote environment because they can choose whether deploy on premise in the cloud or leverage a hybrid infrastructure.
And then if you look at how it works, I think this also supports those core principles I talked about with just being identity and our unified platform really provides them the intelligent access for customers, employees, and partners, so they can securely connect their cloud mobile SA and on-prem applications as well as APIs.
And then sales point comes in and provides comprehensive identity governance. So organizations can govern who has access to their critical applications and data.
They determine who should have access and then monitor how the data is being used for increased efficiency, security, and compliance. Next, the BeyondTrust delivers risk based credential protection and such management to detect and prevent tax involving privileged access to critical resources. So you consider, you know, all of those S will become drive in the solution.
Another thing I wanted to talk about was just this notion of as an, an example, if we look at IGA capabilities on a maturity spectrum, but it's easy to see how quickly enterprises will require more advanced capabilities that require specialization, that a vendor in that category can provide. You take things like governance, analytics, and reporting policy, enroll management, entitlement management, and advanced workflows. You look at, you know, provisioning, you look at access request flows.
So all those things are very, are required by enterprise grade solutions and really required for future proof. You may not need 'em all today, but you certainly would want them in the future versus what you see in these IG, like IGA light concepts, where you're really looking at some lightweight provisioning for birthright provisioning or SAS provisioning, as well as access request flows. All right.
So again, close things out. I wanted to then talk about really the, that notion of productivity now, security and agility. And the first thing is, if you look at vest breed solutions and focus on productivity, it's really about enabling, you know, to get more work done anywhere. Those employees are. And by bringing these vest breed solutions, you cross the gamut of single sign on, and one click back to any app from anywhere you also can automate via self-service to really reduce health desk tickets and help automate and free up administrators do more things.
You also can bring intelligence into that platform because of that best CREs, you know, notion and security, then without friction, where you have, you know, implicit knowledge of who that user is, and then ease of management, certainly rest test degree solutions with some of the new core principles would really help make your administration tax connect, security, security, cover attack, actually, you know, reducing probability of breaches due to due to passwords, really moving away from passwords to a password list model. It enables you to really deliver on zero trust.
Cuz zero trust really is a multi, you know, vendor solution. It can't really remove provided by one vendor. And also it gives you more time to really focus on projects that booster security pro posture, and really helps you minimize the attack surface and helps it really deliver the services that distance needs and avoid shadow.
It kind of last is looking at agility, you know, by building best breed solutions to follow those core principles, you can enable your business to pivot it rapidly.
Consider I can have handle very simple express type of these cases versus advanced, and that does accelerate your onboarding help get your workforce and your customers moving product helps automate security via DevOps, best practices, flexibility, and change security policies on globally. And then it also can't emphasize enough the need to leverage multi-cloud. I hear it often about enterprises needs for that.
So if you really want to take advantage of these Bester re solutions, knowing offers a very robust partner, direct integration directory with solution growth brochures profiles, and gives you a chance to look at how theme works with some of our strategic partners like sale point and beyond trust to deliver solutions. And then after this, if any of you have additional questions, just please join me in the sponsors lounge, and we can tap there.
So I want to thank all of you for joining me and spending time learning, you know, really how good enough isn't good enough when it comes to really protecting your asset and your customer data.
