Calum Macleod is Director EMEA for Venafi Inc., and with over 30 years’ experience in the IT industry, has have been involved in leading edge technologies and developments in the industry for many years. He is also a regular contributor to journals such as Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Journal, Computer World UK, and many other journals.
In the late 90's he was involved in the emerging PKI market, working on projects with the European Commission to deploy the first PKI application and was also part of the team that developed the first commercially available VPN solution that combined IPSEC with X.509 based authentication.
During the last several years he has worked with companies who are required to address areas such as SOX, PCI-DSS, ITll, and other standards, particularly in the areas of Privileged Identity Management, Firewall Policy Management, and Data leakage Prevention. Much of the work over the past five years has been focused on assisting organizations understanding the issues involved and how to implement technology that helps solve the problems.
