Loffie Jordaan is a Business Solutions Architect at AAMVA. He currently focuses on digital identity management, including mobile driver’s licenses and the ecosystem required to make them successful. This grew in part from his innovative work on systems designed to assist all US issuers maintain a single driver’s license per individual.
Mr Jordaan has extensive prior experience in advising issuing authorities on driver license and motor vehicle administration. His consulting services included process engineering, technology assessment, system specification compilation, RFP development, bid evaluation, and contract management.
Since 1999, Mr Jordaan has played a pivotal role in driver license standardization efforts. Currently, he not only actively participates in various standards groups but also serves as the convenor of ISO/IEC JTC1/SC17/WG10. Under Mr Jordaan's guidance, this ISO working group is pioneering the development of standards for mobile driver's licenses. This groundbreaking work contributes to Mr Jordaan’s leadership in global initiatives in this crucial domain, driving innovation and ensuring the widespread adoption of secure, interoperable and privacy respecting digital identity solutions.
