TRACK
Friday, May 12, 2023 10:30—14:30
Location: A 03-04

Cyber insurance protects organizations against internet-based risks and cyber-attacks. There are different types of cyber insurance, however, it typically covers losses associated with data breaches, network outages, hacking and cyber-extortion.

Cyber insurance is important nowadays due to the growing reliance on technology and increasing in digitalization. Cyber insurance mitigates the risk by providing financial protection and additional assistance in the event of a cyber-attack.

Cyber insurance aids businesses by providing means to manage and transfer the associated risks. As such, it is a core component of a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy, and businesses should consider this type of insurance to safeguard themselves and their clients from cyber-threats.
