Identity Based Security

Digital identity is a foundational element for IT security. Access controls, for example, is predicated upon knowing who the requesting user is, and often which device are they coming from. Digital identities are prized targets of attackers. Attackers want accounts in order to get access to user or corporate data or even to financial assets.

Access control implies the proper provisioning of digital identities, authentication, and authorization to specific resources. Compromising any of the steps from user origination to the point of making such a resource request can lead to compromise of information and assets. Digital identities themselves need to be secured.

In this track, we will learn how digital identity is part of an overall cybersecurity architecture, including the identity fabric approach. Attendees will learn about Fraud Reduction Intelligence Platforms and how they can prevent Account Opening and Account Takeover fraud. We will also hear about how to implement security classifications, to reduce the risk of unintended information disclosure.
