How to be a Cyber Security Hero
14:30—14:50

Procurement professionals face an almost impossible task of achieving best value. This ask is at the fore in projects involving the use or installation of Operational Technology (OT) and Internet of Things (IoT) software, hardware, middleware or anything connecting to these types of systems.

Part of the challenge for procurement professionals is balancing the immediate budget with that of future budgets. In plain terms, driving savings to meet today’s budget will likely have a negative impact on future budgets later down the line. Additional costs will inevitably arrive for those departments with ownership over the product, service or technology, costing the organisation more in the long run.

This is a predicament which cyber security teams are consistently facing, creating several common challenges. Join this talk to see how procurement can help.

Security Challenges about IoT and OT systems for the energy revolution
14:50—15:10

The energy revolution (Energiewende) is a fundamental game changer in number and kind of digital systems in the energy sector. These systems will highly  interact in both directions and are partly owned and operated by customers. Old security rules don’t belong any more and new rules/approaches have to be found.
