Digital Transformation has placed virtually limitless value in data and functionality that’s exponentially increasing everywhere, from virtual social environments to core public, financial, medical, and military services. For ambitious attackers, all this value is just one hacked account away. Unbound by ethics, advanced persistent threat actors—from nation states to crime syndicates—have innovated, then open-sourced their innovations to script kiddies. Poor MFA adoption makes even old attacks effective, but—just like value in the ecosystem—attack velocity and sophistication are increasing exponentially. In this keynote, Alex Weinert, Director of Identity Security at Microsoft, will examine what leading Zero Trust deployments teach us about how Identity architects can respond now, then examine how the identity community is coming together to weave an identity fabric that can give us the upper hand in the ever-evolving—and ever-escalating—security race.
