Mirko Mollik

With a strong background in cybersecurity, Mirko first founded a startup focused on verifiable credentials, laying the groundwork for secure digital identity solutions. After a brief period as a PhD student, he transitioned to the German EUDI Wallet project, where he plays a key role in shaping its architecture, ecosystem, and security protocols—always balancing robust security with a seamless user experience. Recognizing gaps in existing standards, he contributes to ETSI, helping define the missing pieces.

Beyond his work on EUDI Wallet, Mirko is deeply involved with the OpenWallet Foundation, where he maintains an objective, high-level overview of the global landscape of wallets and agents. His work enables developers and organizations to compare and filter solutions based on their specific needs, fostering a more transparent and interoperable digital identity ecosystem.
