Jan Vereeken

Jan is the Chief Product Officer at Meeco where he is heading the development of Meeco’s Secure Value Exchange (SVX) platform; which enables enterprise partners to deploy and operate trusted data networks based on verifiable data. 

Prior to joining Meeco, Jan co-founded Juru; a Belgium based start-up developing an identity platform using blockchain technology. In this role he defined the architecture for several projects in the public sector to handle GDPR concerns and optimise internal administrative processes. 

In 2019, he became the Chief Product Officer at Meeco, developing and deploying Meeco’s API-of-Me platform to access, control and exchange personal data. In 2023 he led the release of the next generation of SVX to incorporate credential life-cylce management, provisioning of (personal and organisational) wallets and data network management.

Jan is active in helping enterprises develop and validate digital identity use cases, in addition to actively following and contributing to standardisation efforts across the digital credential community.

Jan holds a masters degree in Computer Science from Vrije Universiteit Brussels, and is based in Belgium.
