Dr. Maryleen Amaizu

Dr. Maryleen is an AI Scientist & Educator, passionate about empowering individuals and organizations to thrive in the ever-evolving world of data and AI. Her expertise has been globally recognized, earning her two Global Talent Visa Awards in the digital sector. Maryleen’s research delves into cutting-edge areas like systems for machine learning and privacy-preserving AI. As the Principal Investigator of the Data Study Group at the Alan Turing Institute, she collaborates with industry partners to transform commercial ideas into data science research projects. In previous role as Data Lead at Purple Beard, she was responsible for implementing Data & AI up/re-skilling programs for the future of work. Her Data & AI consulting work also includes tenures at Capita and Insight where she was developing data-driven solutions to complex business challenges. She holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Leicester and a Master's Degree in Embedded Microelectronics and Wireless Systems from Coventry University.
