Ignacio is a Doctor in Law (UMU), with a PhD thesis related to the eIDAS Regulation, and holds a Degree in Law (UNED), a Diploma of Advanced Studies (UAB) and a Master in introduction to administrative law research (UAB).
He is a Certified Data Protection Solutions Engineer, CDPSE, a Certified Information Systems Auditor, CISA, and a Certified Information Security Manager, CISM (ISACA); and he is certified in COBIT5 Foundations (APMG) and certified in ITIL V3 Foundations (EXIN).
Currently, Ignacio is a practising lawyer, managing partner at Astrea and advisor at Logalty. He also collaborates with iDerTec Research group (University of Murcia), and serves as Chief Trust Officer at Alastria Blockchain Ecosystem.
He has authored/co-authored more than 100 publications and has delivered more than 400 conferences and courses, related to electronic identity, trust services and their application to electronic processes.
He is involved in standardisation activities in the fields of electronic signatures and trust services, digital identity and distributed ledger technologies and blockchains, including ETSI TC ESI, CEN-CLC/JTC19, ISO TC 307 and ISO/IEC-JTC1/SC27.
