Andrew Tobin specialises in digital wallet strategy and innovation. At Evernym he was part of the team that defined and built self-sovereign identity tooling for everyone. He has been a key leader in many digital wallet projects for clients around the world from England’s National Health Service digital staff passport to Bhutan’s National Digital Identity programme.
Evernym was acquired by Avast, a Gen company, in 2021, and Andrew now runs the commercial operations for the Digital Trust Services team in Europe. This team focuses on digital wallets for Gen’s 500m users.
Andrew was one of the founders of the European Digital Identity Wallet Consortium (EWC), which won funding from the European Commission to run large scale pilots for the new eIDAS 2.0 digital wallet ecosystem. He lead’s Gen’s eIDAS work, and is a recognised speaker and writer on the topic.
