As a Professor of Information Security at the University Kent, David Chadwick was an active researcher in identity management for nearly 30 years. His team built open source and closed source identity management systems. In 2016 David was invited to be an expert in the W3C Verifiable Credentials Working Group and is a co-author of the W3C Verifiable Credentials Data Model Recommendation. More recently David created a spin out company from the University of Kent, Verifiable Credentials Ltd, to build a standards conformant SSI system, and this company was subsequently acquired by Crossword Cybersecurity PLC. David is now an independent consultant and Managing Director of Truetrust Ltd. |
