Doc Searls is author of The Intention Economy: When Customers Take Charge (Harvard Business Review Press, 2012), co-author of The Cluetrain Manifesto (Basic Books, 2000 and 2010), one of the world's best-known and widely read bloggers and tweeters, and former editor-in-chief of Linux Journal. Doc also runs ProjectVRM, hosted at Harvard’s Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society, where he served as a fellow from 2006-2010. ProjectVRM received a KuppingerCole award in 2008 for its work fostering the development of tools that scale customers’ ability to engage many different vendors in new and more useful ways than those provided by those vendors alone. These tools in many cases will help companies move toward full GDPR compliance while opening new market opportunities as well.
