Andrea Hornung

With academic roots in Information Science and Innovation Management, Andrea began her career in the field of digital transformation. A formative stage was at an Innovation Center of a software company in Australia, working in a dynamic team of data scientists.

After falling victim to a sophisticated cyber attack, she wanted to fight against cyber crime and started at a global consulting company in the Cyber Risk Advisory department. Her role involved collaborating closely with CISOs on security awareness programs and managing third-party risk.

Since 2019, Andrea has worked at PwC and has become a Senior Manager in the Cyber Security & Privacy division. Specialized in M&A, she leads projects for assessing cyber risks and develops appropriate recommendations, ensuring that her clients are well-protected against evolving threats.

Besides her project work, she mentors emerging tech start-ups and holds workshops on cyber risks in immersive technologies. Andrea’s insights have been featured in publications, podcasts and media outlets.
