Former CIO of Bayer AG, Philips and Bertelsmann AG with a rich history of working across various industries (Healthcare, Medical Devices, Consumer Electronics, Media, Semiconductors) and different geographies.
Started professional life 1986 in software development for the semiconductor industry at Robert Bosch GmbH. Subsequently moved on towards an IT management career, leading to a 20+ year experience of group level CIO positions at Bertelsmann AG, Philips Electronics and Bayer AG. In addition, for two years CEO Imaging Systems (CT, MR, Nuclear Medicine, X-Ray) at Philips Healthcare with revenues of € 2.6bn, and for 11 years CEO of Bayer Business Services.
In 2015 co-founded DCSO (Deutsche Cyber Security Organization) together with the CIOs of Allianz, BASF and Volkswagen, building a most unique setup for Cybersecurity in Germany.
Since 2021 engaging as CxO Advisor for selected IT industry players, as non-Executive Board member and as Tech Startup advisor/investor. Actively engaged as CxO Advisor for Netskope (Santa Clara/US) since March 2022.
