Marc is the Nordea’s Group Chief Security Officer and is responsible for providing oversight on information security, cyber and physical security. He relocated to Copenhagen from London in 2019 to assume the role.
Prior to moving to Scandinavia, Marc worked as the Global CISO for SWIFT for three years, and located between Brussels and London. During this time Marc worked intensively with peer CISOs across the financial industry globally to team up against the evolving cyber threat landscape.
Marc spent over 8 years working for Deutsche Bank, starting in 2008 in Frankfurt and relocating to London in 2014. During this period he held several positions, such as Global Head of the Group Information Security Office and Regional CISO for UK and Ireland.
Marc holds a degree in computer science from the University Karlsruhe and a Ph.D in Economics which focused on operational risk and IT security in the context of banking regulation.
